Message Board Post:

Hopefully somebody still receives updates about this thread. I wonder if this line is somehow connected to my family line. I've managed to trace my Graham line back to Thomas Graham (b: 1758 in North Carolina, d: 1827 or 1834-there is some dispute-in Indiana). Thomas Graham married a Jane Cloyd (or Loyd b: in PA; d: 1837 in Indiana). Together they had several children in the Crab Orchard, KY area: Mary Graham (b:1807, who married a Joseph Campbell in IN), Samuel L Graham (who married Sally unknown), Robertson Graham (b: 1795, who married 1)Phebe Moberly in KY 2) Sabina Loughmiller in IN), Enoch Graham (b: 1801 in KY, married Ann Wampler), John Jefferson Graham (d: 1845, married Elizabeth Gray), and my 4th great grandfather Thomas Madison Graham (b: 7 Jul 1811 in Crab Orchard, KY; married Mary Ann Cox in Morgan County, IN).
It seems that this family left Crab Orchard around 1814 and migrated to Indiana. From there, some of them moved on to Iowa.
I feel that my line fits well within the migration pattern and timing of James Graham's line. In some old DAR and SAR records, they state that the father of Thomas Graham (b: 1758) is Capt John Graham. However, myself and others working on this line have not found any other evidence collaborating this evidence.
Any help making the connection would be greatly appreciated!!
