Could the book you are refering to be RECORDS OF EMIGRANTS FROM ENGLAND AND
SCOTLAND TO NORTH CAROLINA 1774-1775 Edited by A.R. Newsome. This isn''t
really a book but more like a pamphlet...has 30 pages and is not indexed.
Another book in my library is SCOTCH HIGHLANDERS IN AMERICA by J.P. MacLean
453 pages and again not indexed.

I will be willing to check the Records of Emigrants for you BUT NOT the
latter publication
