I am going to visit Benson County, in order to see what I can find about Mary Jane Butson (died 15 Aug 1899 at or near Leeds, born Ontario c 1853). I am reading over the Benson County GenWeb page and see that the county seat is at Minnewaukan, so that I definitely need to go to the courthouse.

What other places should I be sure to include in my visit? Any advice or tips that I should know about? I have never been to North Dakota before, and it is a long way from home. So I want to make the best use of the time as I can.
