Message Board Post:

Leroy, I haven't found any evidence of the McNIELs in Nebraska in 1900. As a matter of fact, I believe I've found Neva and Edna in altogether different circumstances in 1900 & 1905.

1900 US Census, Wisconsin, Dane County, Stoughton

4th Street

Doolittle, Mary, head, Aug 1852, 47, widowed, bore 1 child/1 child living, born WI, parents born Vermont, own home free of mortgage

McNIEL, Neva M., daughter, May 1872, 28, divorced, bore 1 child/1 child living, born WI, father NY, mother WI

Edna M., granddaughter, Sept. 1893, 6, born WI, parents born WI

1905 WI State Census, Dane County, Stoughton
Mary J. DOOLITTLE 52 born WI
Dick IVERSON 38 born WI
Neva IVERSON 33 born WI
Edna IVERSON 11 born WI

It appears that Don McNIEL also was in Dane County, Wisconsin, in 1900:

1900 US Census, Wisconsin, Dane County, Dunkirk Twp, Town of Stoughton

McNEIL, Chas., head, Nov. 1840, 59, married 38 years, born NY, father born CT, mother born NY, Livestock business

Hellen, wife, Dec. 1841, 58, married 38 years, bore 1 child/1 child living, born IL, parents born NY

Don C., son, Mar 1863, 37, single, born WI, father born NY, mother born IL, occupation Druggist

Your post didn't include any information about Don & Neva's marriage:

Wisconsin Vital Records pre-1907
Mcneil, Don C H
Doolittle, Nina M
Marriage May 23 1892 Dane County
