Looking for whereabouts of John NEED and wife Elizabeth WILLEY in 1870. In 1860 they were in Owen Co. IN, Vandalia. In 1850 they were in Owen Co. IN, Lafayette Twp. (John Knead)with children Wm., John, Malinda, Anna, Mary, Joseph, and Michael. In 1880 Elizabeth (WILLEY ) NEED is living with Mary E. NEED in Owen Co., IN, Lafayette Twp. Was John still living in 1870? We are seeking to verify the 1875 death date on the tombstone of John NEED,Sr. Why was his will made out in 1866 and not probated till after the death of his widow Elizabeth in 1877.
