My SWEENEY family was from the UP of Michigan. They were there from roughly 1866's to early 1879. Then they moved to Holt co. Neb where my gf was born in Nov. 1879. His father was killed in a mining accident in South Dakota & sometime after early 1880 his widow moved the family back to the UP. If this name rings any bells, please email me.
