Feb 17,1956 Atkinson Graphic OBITUARY ROBERT R ALLEN
Robert R Allen, formerly of Emmet, died of a heart attack Feb 4,1956, at his home in Topeka, Kan, at the age of 50 eyars, 6 months and 14 days. It is thought that the heart attack was brought on by worry because his wife was taken to a hospital for surgery the preceding night.
Robert Allen was born to Dougal and Mary E Allen on Sept 21, 1905, at Suble, Ia. He moved with his parents to Emmet, Nebr, when he was eighteen months old.
He was married to Miss Bessie Beebe on June 4,1924. They become the parents of three children; one of whom died in infancy. In Dec, 1944, he moved with his family to Topeka, Kan, where he resided until his death.
Services were held at the Penwell-Gabel Chapel in Topeka on Feb 8, the Rev Emery A Dains officiating. Interment was in Memorial Park Cem.
Pallbearers were Everett Freeby, Clifford Sevaim, Merton Woodward, Alex Miller, Thomas Starkey, and Harry Walton.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Robert Dean, a daughter, Donna Lou Kibbie, and a granddaughter, Jeanie Lou Kibblie, all of Topeka; also a sister, Mrs Mollie Hallopeter of Corydon, Ind; and an aunt Mrs Agnes Gaffney of Emmet.
Mrs Allen is the former Bessie Beebe, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Alex Beebe of Atkinson and a sister of Mrs Frank Schaaf of Stuart. She is at present in the Vale Hospital, Room 303, Topeka, Kan. Her daughter, Donna Lou Kibbie is at present living at 631 Jefferson, Topeka, Kan.
Those attending the funeral from a distance were; Mr and Mrs Charles Harris, Inglewood, Cal; Mr and Mrs Dale Beebe, Hawthorn, Cal; Mr and Mrs Frank Schaaf; MR and Mrs George Hitchcock, Mr and Mrs Quentin Hitchcock, all of Stuart; 2nd Lt James Spellman, Perrin AFB, Sherman, Tex; Mrs Agnes Gaffney, Emmet; Mrs Mollie Hallopter, Corydon, Ind; Mr and Mrs Kenneth Harris, Clay Center, Kan.
