Hello from Australia.My GGrandfather, John CUNNING married Helen NICHOL on 15 Aug 1823 and they had 2 children, both born in Falkirk in Scotland:

Jean Born 3 Jul 1824
William Born 15 Nov 1826

Helen apparently died and John remarried in 1829. It is possible that Helen died giving birth to William and as he cannot be found on any census, it is possible that he did not survive childbirth.

Is anyone researching this NICHOL line?
