Hi again Helen,

James Nixon's parents were James & possibly Mary.

James & Ellen married in 1849 but their daughter, Mary Ellen Nixon was born
in Chorlton on Medlock in 1852. On the 1871 census, Ellen aged 48 is a
widow, with a son, Joseph aged 20 (born Wharton) and Mary Ellen (aged 19) &
her husband David May. Ellen & James had another daughter, Agnes aged 9 on
the 71 census. Looks like they're from the Northwich areas, moved to South
Manchester, then came back to Cheshire again - possibly after James'
death???
