John Arch Nixon, Sr., 82, of Escatawpa, MS, passed away January 29, 2011,
in
Pascagoula, MS. John was born on August 5, 1928 in Cumberland County, N.C.
He
was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean
Conflict in which earned numerous medals and citations including the
Bronze
Star with clusters. He was a member of Escatawpa Baptist Church. He was
preceded in death by his son, Jeffery Nixon Rugheimer; his parents,
Charles
Durant and Eva Nixon and his brothers and sisters. Burial: Serene Memorial
Gardens Cemetery in Escatawpa, MS with military rites.
