Y means Somewhere else.
There should be several zero's and two numbers following the Y.
At the beginning of each year it lists the codes...Y-000033 is Out of City.
These were "certificates" made up for burial in NYC..that's what I was told
at the NYCDH...and no, they don't have copies of any Y certificates and no,
they don't know where the person actually died....I've been there and done
that with no luck.
