I was looking through the death indexes for 1949-1950 for all boroughs.
There were abbreviations after the name, so that it looked like this-

LEDDY, James, 71[age], 25 Dec 1949 [dod], M [borough], 27252 [certif #]

Now, I know the M stands for Manhattan. I've also figured out that K is
Brooklyn, X is Bronx, Q is Queens and R is Richmond. But there is also a
Y. Is there a sixth borough I havent' heard of? Or did the typewriter
have a hiccup and it should be X? Any ideas?
