I am looking for information on the above two people believing that the
son of Benjamin and Elizabeth HILDRETH, named also Benj. HILDRETH and who
was christened @ Trinity Church on the 18 April 1779 may in fact be the
Benjamin HILDRETH who would link my family to NYC. Benjamin HILDRETH and
Elizabeth GRISWOLD were married at Trinity Church Parish, New York City on
12 Feb 1772.
I am looking for the father of a Benjamin HILDRETH who had a son named
Benjamin Gri(e)swold HILDRETH baptized 10 April 1803 at Circular
Congregational Church in Charleston, SC. It is possible that the wife of
this Benjamin HILDRETH may have been Mary and that they had a daughter Ann
who was baptized at St. Philips Episcopal Church in Charleston, SC on 5
April 1801.
