Subject: [NYC] The Band Shell in Central Park

Hi All!

Amid all of my genealogy, I am also trying to keep up with my high school
son's school scrapbook. Last April, he traveled with the Concert Band from
the high school to the East coast and played several concerts from VA/PA/NY.
The final concert that they played was in the "oldest bandshell in the US"
which is located in Central Park. I have a wonderful photo and wanted to try
and find some historical information on it. I have gone to the web site for
Central Park, emailed them and read their history (no mention of the
bandshell). Thought there might be someone with a tidbit of knowledge.
