I have updated my web site: HNOH Welcome-Jewish Orphanages in the United
States at
http://shell4.bayarea.net/~elias/hnoh/

The following censuses may be found on the Federal and State Census Page,
with a special thanks to Ellen Barnett Cleary, New Orleans and Mimi Katz ,
Chicago:

1860 US Federal Census for Association for the Relief of Jewish Widows &
Orphans,
New Orleans, Louisiana (63 Names)

1870 US Federal Census for Jewish Widows & Orphans Association,
New Orleans, Louisiana (94 Names)

1910 Federal Census for Marks Nathan Home
1741 Blucher St.
, Chicago, Illinois
(143 Names)

1930 Federal Census
Jewish Widows and Orphans Home
5342 St. Charles Avenue,
New Orleans, LA (167 Names)

These census pages now contain over 6,400 children, staff names and
information from approximately 40 different Federal, State and Police
Censuses spanning years 1855 to 1930. I would love to hear from anyone
wanting to contribute an orphanage census from any Jewish Orphanage.

HNOH Memorial Page: New names and photos have been added.

Orphan Archives-Records & Holdings Page: 1900 List of Benevolent Institutions
in Chicago, IL

Jewish Genalogy Page and Other Genealogical Resources Page: New addtions and
corrections. (Thousands of URLs to thousands of other sites for Genealogy
research).
