_______said: "What conceivable good would it do for a person to convert rtinformation into a digital format for his/her records"

I live across the street from a fault, and we are expecting a 7.2 earthquake anytime. I could lose everything; that includes two very valuable historical collections, and 8 years of research, plus what is on my computer. Not only does this organize all of your information- whatever you choose to give to them, but it is put on very high tech discs, that are not very available to the average person; they keep a disc of your info, and you do; they update it as tecnology updates ; one thing you can do is write in a name and bring up everything about that person you have. I don't know enough about it to explain it, as I am visual and need to see things first. Their service and expertise is very impressive, and I, for one, don't want to lose my valuable research and inherited collections in any kind of disaster, which could even be a simple home fire. Most people digitize their materials and send copies to family members, but when you are busy and don't have the time to do it yourself, this is a wonderful service. There is more to it than I have explained. Sue
