Thanks, Fran, for the SCHENK information. Those old Dutch families are so
interesting. Most of the families are so interwoven! My ninth Gt.
Grandmother (on my mother's side) was Sarah Joris Tunisen Rapalje, the first
female, white child born in New Amsterdam. Her younger sister, Judith, is
my ninth Gt. Grandmother (on my father's side). There are other
connections with younger generations. What a tangled web!!!!
