Ashel Tickner is my husbands gggrandfather b. 1792 in what is now Delaware
Co. N.Y. was in the war of 1812 from Penfield N.Y. Parents Roswell Tickner
and Minerva Thorp.
In 1830 NY.census he was in Galen village of Clyde and lived next door to
Ezra Furman.
His oldest daughter Jerusha Ann m. Allen Foster Furman, Ezra's oldest son,
my husbands g grand parents. They moved to PA.
Apparently moved to Michigan, not in the 1840 census N.Y. 1836 Oakland Co.
Mich Argentine
1838 Fenton, Genesee Co. (Fenton separated from Argentine)
1840 census Mich. 1850 back to Galen, age 58 wife Louana Allen age 9 b MI
Julia 7 b. MI
1855 Galen wife Louana
Not in 1860 census
1865 Asahel, married 3x's Louana
last time family appears in Galen
son Allen moved to PA where Jerusha and Allen Furman were, Julia married
Barringer Cooper and had 2 stepsons Chancy and Stephen, Stephen and
Barringer were in army.
Last time they appear in Galen census.
When Barringer was discharged the family moved to Michigan where Julia died.
I can find no record of Ashel or Louana, or of Thankful, Jerusha's
mother--there were other children according to the census, but don't know
who they were.
Anyone out there doing this family? I need some clues!!!
