Along with Linda's message on the Schuyler Co. History book, which I just
preordered, I would like to mention that they also have a new version of the
Town of Catharine History book.
It was put together with updated material from the older version put out by
Mary Louise Cleaver in 1945, and allot of added new material. It also has
lots of photos of this area of Schuyler Co. and families.
Carol Tetz Faguan, the author, has bounded it very attractively in blue
with gold lettering, 408 pages. I bought a copy while I was at the
Historical museum on Friday for $40.
I think the new version of the History of Schuyler Co. will be nice as it
will cover the whole county instead of just one Township. I submitted 3
family histories for 3 different families; Covert, Mathews-Bowers and
Stuart. They love pictures and took most of the ones I had. They were very
careful and put each in it's separate envelope and tagged them with the
different family histories that were submitted. So you can be reassured
that they are being responsible.
