I too would like to see this cemetery. My husband's family's line was Lucas (Luke) Covert, whose son was Abraham L. Covert, b. abt 1800. Luke's 1st wife, Ancha/Aucha Abraham's mother, is buried in the Covert Cem. Per her g.s. she died 2 Oct 1814 ae 55yrs 4mos 25das.
According to a map, The Abram Covert Farm cem or(LeConte or Morris Farm cem.) is located in the Town of Ovid. It is located in a square mile area, with Rte 131, West Wyckoff Rd., Rte 96A and South Townline Rd being the 4 sides.
On a map Rte 131 would be on the west side of this square mile;West Wyckoff Rd. would be on the north side; Rte 96A (the road that runs from Lodi to Ovid) is on the East side and the South townline Rd is on the south side. The Covert cem is in the South West corner of this area. Close to Rte 131 and South Townline Rd., but must be actually sitting back in a field.
This lot is #27 on a plot plan (I guess that is what it is called) or military plot plan. Luke Covert had land on this location from 1796-1827 when he moved away to Bradford Co., NY.
If there is a field trip to this cem. us me know, as we would love to go. We have never seen this cem.
We live in this area in Trumansburg, just down the road.
