Hi:
This is in response to Laura Marcy's query on Sarah Jane Chaffee & family.
Did some investigation on ancestry.com and came up with the following:

1900 Census - Sheshequin, Bradford County, PA
Dudley Chaffee, age 43, farmer & blacksmith (married 20 years) is living
with his wife,
Sarah J. Chaffee, born Nov. 1860 in PA and son, Miles L. Chaffee, born Oct
1884 in PA.
According to the census, they had 2 children and both were living.

1910 Census - Sheshequin, Bradford County, PA
J. Dudley Chaffee, farmer, age 53, living with wife, Sarah J. Chaffee, age
50 and granddaughter, Lillian M. Chaffee, age 2.

1920 Census - Binghamton Ward 3, Broome County, NY
Charles Morse, age 60, living with Sarah L. Morse, age 54, son, John Morse,
age 25, and daughter-in-law, Helen Morse, age 21.

1930 Census - Lincoln Ave., Binghamton, Broome County, NY
Charles B. Morse, proprietor of a retail shoe store, age 67, living with
Sarah H. Morse, age 64 and daughter, Helen Warner, age 33 and granddaughter,
Doris Warner, age 10

Found the following on Miles Chaffee:
1920 Census - Romulus, Seneca County, NY
Miles J. Chaffee, age 35, with wife, May C. Chaffee, age 35 and daughter,
Marie Chaffee, age 11.

1930 Census - Romulus, Seneca County, NY
Miles Chaffee, born ~1885 in PA - Nurse at State Hospital
May Chaffee, spouse, age 45
Marie Chaffee, daughter, age 21

Don't forget that NY State had census between the Federal Census. They are
usually at the County Clerk's office or available on microfilm from the LDS.
Also, contact the Broome County and Seneca County clerks & historians to see
if they have any information.
