The family of John Daggett came from Edgartown. Until just recently there
was a B&B in Edgartown called the Daggett House. My Daggetts came from there
and eventually ended up in Daggett,Tioga County,Pa. A close family line also
went across Vermont and Lake Champlain and are still found in far Northern
NY. Bob Lefler

Wow - I noticed this post because I live less than two miles from that
railroad crossing and we just had another deadly accident there a couple
of years ago. Also, my wife's 7th Great Grandmother was a Daggett - the
family moved from Edgartown, Mass.
