The Jewish Genealogical Society of Buffalo is
sponsoring a movie , SUNDAY, December 11 at 2:00 P.M.
in the ADULT LOUNGE at the Jewish Community Center,
Benderson Building, 2640 North Forest Road in
Getzville.

“Heritage: Civilization and the Jews” is a series of
films on Jewish history as told within a background of
the broader history of Western civilization, which is
hosted by Abba Eban, the former Israeli Ambassador to
the United States. Part 4, The Crucible of Europe
732-1492, will be shown. This part of the film
includes the Arab renaissance, the Golden Age of
Spanish Jewry, the Muslim retreat back to Araby, the
Crusades, the Inquisition, and the subsequent
expulsion of the Jews from across Western Europe.
Discussion about the film to follow.
This program is open to the public. Friends and
guests are welcome.
