BRIGGS researchers - are you missing a Joseph S. b. 1830. I believe there is a connection to my Schoolcraft and Babcock families, but haven't been able to find it. Since the Babcock and Schoolcrafts came from St. Lawrence, perhaps the Briggs family did also.

Found in Wolverine Cemetery, Cheboygan Co, MI are Florence E. (1874-1963) and Alfred J. (1869-1961) BRIGGS. They are buried in what appears to be a family plot with Myron and Esther (Babcock) SCHOOLCRAFT. Also in the same cemetery are Joseph S. BRIGGS 1830-1926 and Mabel M. SEGER BRIGGS 1883-1958. I'm interested in how the Briggs are connected to the Schoolcrafts.
