You are in luck. The census, as indexed and transcribed by Anne Cady is available on line. Be sure to also see her cemetery indexes and many other resources (church records and newspaper transcriptions by me) at the county site under usgenweb. Start as www.usgenweb.org, click on 'state's project page', then 'map of U.S.' then N.Y. state. Next, click on 'county selection page' then use the drop down list of counties to select St. Lawence County. This is an active site and worth bookmarking and checking back every few weeks.
