The county offices in Canton, NY has indexed wills and land records. You likely
would find what you are after there. St. Lawrence county is a very pleasant
place to visit in the summer (and winters aren't what they used to be).

If a visit to Canton is not convenient, you might be able to find someone to do
some research for you (but not me, I live too far away!)
