I would be interested in any information you may have regarding Josette and
Alexander LaGrow. I am descended from Julia Ann Legro(s) Martin who was the
daughter of Alexander LeGro who appears in the 1830 census in Massena. They
were living on the Islands of the St. Lawrence- namely Barnhart Island. I
have at least 4 family lines that were living on Barnhart, Long Sault and
Sheik Island at one time or other in the early 19th century. The Alexander
LeGro who appears in the 1830 census would have been born between 1780 and
1790. The Alexander LeGrow who died in Canton in 1875 and is buried in
Fairview Cemetery was born around 1786/1787 on Long Sault which was I
believe part of Stormont County, Ontario Canada at that time.
His family by the 1870's were living in the Canton area. Julia Ann Legro
Martin moved in the 1850's to Pierrepont area (more specifically the current
town of Clare).

As I said I would like any information and documentation that any of you
have regarding Alexander and Josette. Thank You. Take Care---------
