I'll bet some U.S. abbreviations are as confusing to you as some of yours are to me. 'N.S.' likely is Nova Scotia but 'usit' is not familiar to me. I tried a google search but nothing seemed to make sense.

If you know what town the MacIsaac's lived in and what period of time there may be some resources to research. If they were landowners there would be grantor/grantee records indexed at the county office in Canton, NY.

Since you list no town in St. Lawrence county what information do you have to indicate the family ever lived in the county?
