I got the marriage certificate from the Bureau of Vital Statistics several years ago. It says Andrew was born in N. Lawrence and his parents were Louis Santimaw and Mary Kirbie (sp?). Are you sure this is the same Louis born in 1803? The man would have been about 85 when his son was 23 or 24. I guess he got himself a youngin with Mary. I would be happy to send you a copy.

Also, in the 1870 census for Hopkinton Township, St. Lawrence, there is a Joseph Santeman, age 35 and wife Rositta, age 34 both born in Canada, along with kids Joseph J., Edwin, George, Henry, and Eliza.

By the way, I'm also looking for any census as close to 1850 as possible for St. Lawrence County. Short of actually traveling to upstate NY, do you have any ideas?
