I didn't recieve the first of this message, but I'm
interested in learning about this. I have Irish
ancestors who settled in Massena in 1816. They were
from County Wexford, Ireland.
Where were yours from?
Do you know what brought yours here?
What made them choose that area to settle?
What about other Irish settlers - what brought them to
the area? Were they sent for?
Were farmers recruiting Irish servants?
When mine arrived they supposedly stayed with the
Robinsons in Massena for an unknown about of time
before buying their own land.
Thanks!
Carrie
