Carole, can you provide any further info on yiour Thomas Hamilton? I am seeking any info on an ancestor on my wife's side, a Thomas Udeney (or Udine) Hamilton, born 21 Aug 1821 in Ogdensburg, NY. I have nothing on his family before he left home aged 14yrs to becoome a sailor on the Great Lakes. Many thanks.
