This is (looks to be) a very important piece of corroborative data particularly
if it is a _copy_ of the "Gouverneur Town Clerks Civil War Parents" (record).
For it establishes "Kinney" as Orson's middle name. (According to the _unsourced_
LDS data "Rebecca KINNEY" was the name of Alpheus' wife (1st?) for the birth
of Hiram.)
It boggles my mind to entertain the notion that the "Alpheus" who was
the (documented) husband of Florella Knapp was not ALSO the husband of
Rebecca KINNEY and father of Hiram.
Nevertheless, it remains necessary (in my opinion)to find a primary source
which identifies Alpheus of Rodman as the father of Hiram of Gouverneur,
particularly since the Rodman Alpheus was married to another woman (but"Gouverneur Town Clerks Civil War Parents

Hiram's "obit" sure was a good bet, wasn't it.
