Periodically I post a query on Pyrmelia Carr trying to locate her maiden
name.

Based on census records and her grave stone she was born about 1814 in New
York

She was a married to William H. Carr about 1835

Her known children are:
Mary Carr born about 1837
Melissa Carr born April 1839 died 1920 married Walter Barker
Orson P. Carr born 7 Aug 1841 died after 1927 when a newspaper article
mentions his paralysis
Martha P. Carr probably died as an infant.


Pyrmelia's first name was spelled as many ways as you can think of.

She was with her husband in 1850 & in 1860 in Oswahatchie. She is probably
the female between 20 and 30 who is with William in 1840.

Thanks to Anne Cady, I have a copy of her tombstone. It says she died Apr
21 1863 and was 48 years ?? months and 5 days.

What was her maiden name?

When and where was she born?

Her daughter's stone is between hers and Williams. Per the picture on Anne
Cady's site, the only information is that this person is Martha P. no
dates, etc. The stone is quite small.

Does anyone have any information about Martha?

Someone on this list suggested that I order Melissa and Orson's death
records. That MIGHT give a clue about their mother.

How does one order a death record for St. Lawrence County for a death in the
1920s?
