Isadore Perry
Once more an old "Veteran" has answered the call of the great Commander and has "pitched his tent in the silent bivouac of the dead."
Tuesday night, Sept. 27, at 6:50, at his home No. 49 Pierrepont Avenue, with his family at his bedside, Isadore Perry, an old and respected citizen, passed to his "final review," after an illness lasting over five months.
Mr. Perry was born August 20, 1837, coming to Potsdam 56 years ago, where he has since resided, being known as an honest, loyal and peaceful citizen. Forty-seven years ago he married Miss Louise Ritchie, who survives him, beside three sons, George H. and Elmer R. of Potsdam and Riley H. of Alexandria Bay, and three daughters, Mrs. J. LaClair and Miss Lois of Potsdam, and Mrs. John Pouilot of Massena.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Sept. 29 at 9:30 a.m. at the house and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Rev. B. Marron celebrating High Mass. Interment in the Catholic Cemetery.
He will be missed by all who knew him for he had a cheerful word and pleasant smile for everyone. The sympathy of all is extended his family and friends.
