Jack how about freshly caught fish...yummy.
Vegetables grown at home. We have plenty of garlic, hot, hot, hot. I can usually manage to do a few jars of Pickled Garlic each year.
My ancestors came from Prussia, France,England and Scotland....must be the thriftiness from olden times.
