I seek a contact to check on the marriage of my great-great-grandparents: married January 10th, 1855. George B Bauer & Maria Angelica Schmackers. Witnesses were Gerhard Henry and Margaret Schmackers. In her obit, George mentions his wife's Germanic name was Ongler. This couple raised 8 children, perhaps with the help of this same Church: Gerhard Henry of October 12, 1855, Godparents: Herman & Fesina M Schmackers, Theresia of Mar 22, 1857, Godparents: Ulrich Tholen & Eva Maria Schmackers, Mary Margaret, of Nov. 19, 1859, Anna O. b Jan 19-1860, Katherine, b Nov 29, 1862, Rachel b. July 21, 1865, Augusta, b may 12, 1866, and Peter b. Nov 16, 1868.
I have a good family of this family which moved in 1870, to Uno of Shelby county, Ohio. I wonder if the marriage records or records on any of the children indicate parentage or siblings of George B Bauer and or mother of Angelica, (her father was Henry Schmackers, d May 10-1877). George & Maria rest in St Patricks Cemetery, Ohio.
