I’mtrying to discover more info about Flora Boyles, b. Feb 1870 to John Boyles andhis 2nd wife, Mary Anna Flinker (?) Barnbrook in Auglaize Co. Johnd. 1874 in the Dayton National Military Home. He was a Civil War veteran. Flora'smother signed a pension for her saying that John had never collected a pension. Her mother remarried about 1883 to William Boyles. I haven’t figured out if hewas a relative of John.
John’sService:
1st ser Pvt Co. C 31stReg/t Ohio - Sept 9, 1861 to Aug 12, 1862
2nd ser Pvt. Co. K, 118th Ohio - Oct 9,1862 to June 13, 1865
Two people signed aswitnesses to Flora's claim: N. Shubert and Mrs. T. Schubert (prob. Tracy from otherdocs). They signed an affidavit 31 Jul 1890 in Fryburgh, Auglaize Co Ohio
In1880 the only Flora, age ca 10 yrs old in Auglaize county is:
1880 Census Place: Pusheta, Auglaize, Ohio

Elizabeth HUBER Wife F M W 62 BAVARIA

Was this my Flora? Was sheperhaps adopted or did the census taker just fill in the blanks with hissupposition?
I have found a Flora Boyles married in Vigo Co., IN but so far have not found a connection.
Does anyone have a clueabout any of these folks?
Thanks for any help you canprovide.
