For those who reside in the area or who may be visiting in the area:

The Licking County Genealogical Society will meet
Monday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.; Newark Public Library
101 W. Main St. (first floor meeting room);
"Historic Clothing" will be
presented by Gayle Strege, Curator
OSU Historic Costume/Textile Collection.
Her presentation will be an overview of
resources used in dating historic clothing items,
followed by case studies of some examples from
the OSU Historic Costume and Textile Collection.
Presentations are free and open to the public.

Genealogist should find this presentation helpful for photo dating.
