Hi Ann,
Right . I was from Tusc. Co. too
First of all everyone who has had a little German in school constantly
corrects me when I say Ja-na-den-hutten. So I got a little card at the
Historical Museum at Gnaden. on which they describe they way it is supposed
to be pronounced. Even the famous history writer Allen Eckert (who wrote
extensively about the history of our area) corrected my
pronounciation....I'm gonna get him one of those little cards.
Good to hear someone bring up the subject.
