I am especially interested in any information regarding
the Fenner family who apparently moved to the Gnadenhutten area
in the early 1820's from Pennsylvania, particularly the
following who are respectively my ggg grandparents
and gggg grandparents:
John Felix Fenner b.11/26/1805 d. ????
married on December 25, 1828 in Tuscarawas County to
Catharine Lydia Romig b.1/7/1812 d. 10/3/1842 (?)
also, John Felix Fenner's father,
John David Fenner b.2/11/1781 d. 2/25/1833 (?)
married to
Susannah Catherine Demuth b.5/27/1781 at Shoeneck Moravian
Northampton, PA d. ???
I have had considerable success with the Romig and Demuth lines
which I would be happy to share, but am having much more difficulty
finding the parents and siblings of John David Fenner. Any information
or suggstions would be greatly appreciated.
Most of my growing up years were spent in Gnadenhutten; in fact, my
family lived there in the same house from the mid 1800's until
a few years ago (the big white house on the hill not far
from the cemetery). Of course, the irony is that now that I am
interested in family genealogy I am no longer in Gnadenhutten!
