Mrs. Goldner to Visit Son's Grave in France
Mrs. Mary A. Goldner, Newcomerstown, will be the only 'gold star' mother in
Tuscarawas co to make the trip to France to visit the graves of U S soldiers
who lost their lives during the World war.
There are nine gold star mothers in the county who are eligible to make the
trip but all have declined except Mrs. Goldner.
One group will leave New York harbor Wednesday for France on the steamship
President Harding.
Mrs. Goldner is the mother of Corporal John Goldner, Company P 61st infantry,
who is buried in the Meuse-Argonne cemetery.
