Many court houses do not even take requests through the mail, I have had many tell me if you want a record you have to come in person.

Also waiting 2 months for a record is nothing. I have waited MUCH longer for many before in my life.

Calling the Gov will do no good. If it is a record you MUST have, then you should find someone locally who knows how to deal with the court house and get the record for you. Also look into if those records are also held somewhere else, many old records are also on file with the state archive or a local historical society, and it is easier to obtain a copy from them.

Also try the LDS, they have gone in a copied many records, they might have what you are looking for.
