There is a Michael Basinger in a newspaper column entitled "List of Letters Remaining in the Post Office at CANTON on the 1st day of July, 1821" . Paper is "The Ohio Repository" of Canton, Ohio, 5 July, 1821. I checked marriage records I have for Tusc. Co. from 1808-1844 plus Index to Tusc. Co., OH Common Pleas Journals 1819-1837 and no Bassinger, etc. is listed in any of these.

Subject: [OHTUSCAR] Bussinger Family

I am looking to see if any Bussinger, Basinger,Bassinger families lived in
the Tuscarawas county areas between 1800 and 1925. Many of my family members
have
been found in neighboring areas like New Castle, Lawrence, Penn.,
Youngstown, Mahoning, Warren, Tuscawaras and Trumbull County.

I am particularly interested in a Fred Bussinger ca. 1813-1893, his wife
Jane Neal (Neil or O'Neal or O'Neil). Add itionally I have found one record
of a
S. Bussinger as a member of the New Castle Fire Department in about 1851 yet
no other existence has been found.

Many Thanks,
