Hi,
Try clicking on some of the following.
U of O Library System. Click on each of the items on this page and see where
they lead.
http://libweb.uoregon.edu/
Libraries and Collections
http://libweb.uoregon.edu/libcol.html
http://janus.uoregon.edu/search~/
Janus: Catalogs & Information Services
Then under Library Catalogs, click on the "UO Library Catalog." Click on the
type of search you want.
It gives you several ways to search materials: subject heading, author,
keywords, title, call number, etc. You can see the list of newspapers they
have on microfilm, but I think there may be more than on the list, so you
might want to call them. Using Keyword or Subject Heading, you could type in
genealogy and see what comes up. This is a college library and students
study all kinds of subjects. Genealogy is a subject, but History is also a
subject and so are the individual states of the USA. They may have had to
study a particular state, so you might type in the name of a state and see
what materials come up. I've been told there is a great collection of Oregon
newspapers at the college, and I will be visiting there sometime this summer
just to use their newspaper collection.
Library Catalogs; Looking for....; Indexes and Abstracts. There are also
icons on the left for you to click on.

I hope these will help answer your questions, or at least give you a start.
