Hi everyone,

I just wanted to let you know that Rootsweb has implemented changes to
the surname message boards. They rolled out the changes late last
evening - I apologize for the no notice, but Rootsweb did not tell the
administrators when it was going to happen. We didn't even get any info
as to exactly what changes were going to occur just that changes would
be occurring.

As with any large system implementation, they are still working the
kinks out - to give you some idea of the magnitude of the problems I can
only tell you that in a normal day I get around 150 to 175 messages,
tonight I signed on and had 791 in a little over 21 hours. Rootsweb
obviously has some work still to do so everyone's patience would be
appreciated. Hopefully, when the dust settles we will have more
functional boards. I'll let you know as I hear anything further.
