I'm looking for information on the descendants of James Baird (1825-1899) born in Edinburgh Scotland ,, emigrated to Canada in the 1840's and set up in Montreal. He ran a tinsmith and lantern shop at 99 Wellington Street in Montreal up until his death in 1899. James had three wives. He had a son David by his first wife, Jane Cunningham. David was born in 1855 and married Mary Jane Thompson. They had a son, Robert who married Dorothy Hannah. He died in 1931 at age 49. Ive lost track of that branch of my family.
James married Margaret Brander in 1872 and had six children. Margaret (knimond) Caroline (Joly) Maud (Shaw), James, Arthur Henry, and William. James was my grandfather but I know nothing about the descendants of the other children. William was a bachelor who died in 1960 but Arthur Henry was married . (He died in 1918 at the age of 40)
