I am a descendent of Francis Quarles via his daughter Joanna
who married Richard Smith in Boston then moved and resided in
Lyme, New London Co., CT
In the Dictionary of National Biography, there is a long bio
of Francis including a statement that a painting exists of him
in the National Gallery in London.
Anyone out there have an image of this painting??
