Hello all!

I have just started working on the Francois LEBOEUF/LEBOUEF and Catherine LEDUC line. I have information that they married in St. Timothee, Beauharnois, Quebec in 1824. I believe several of their children were born there before they migrated to New York.

I hope I am on the correct mailing list to get some information about this region. I am not familiar with Quebec and would like some tips about how to get started on researching in this area.

Also, so background history of the area and the peoples who lived there would be great also.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get started and perhaps a history of the region I could read?
