Hello,
I just subscribed to this list. I would normally wait awhile before making a
query, but I promised today to help my brother-in-law find his relatives.

He was born in the Lindaunis area of the town of Schleswig in a hospital May
7, 1945. His mother's name was Magdalena SCHMIDT SEIFERT. Her family had
been displaced from Pommern, where he was conceived. His father was named
Franz AULFINGER and was a soldier in the German army.

Franz AULFINGER reportedly died in Stuttgart in 1952 or 53. Nothing else is
known about him.

Could anyone suggest:
Name and address of the hospital in Schleswig (Lindaunis)
How to get military records for Franz AULFINGER.
How to find a record of death of Franz AULFINGER.
Any other way to gather information about his family.

Any suggestions welcome.
