Subject: Danish emigration

I have been tryng to find emigration information regarding my YTZEN
family from Halk, Denmark (northern part of S-H)
I have found some of them on the Danish Emigration Archives. I
understand that they had to register their ticket with the Copenhagen
Police. My question is: did they only have to register their ticket if
they were leaving from Copenhagen? If not and they left from another
port did they have to go to Copenhagen to register their ticket or could
they do it locally and the info be sent to Copenhgen.
I had been told that the Ytzen family left from Esberg on the west coast
of Jutland for Liverpool and sailed from there to the US. I haven't
been able to verify this however.
